Cédric Allard
A passion that has become a benchmark brand
Cédric Allard, founder of Spice Events and partner at MX Événement, shares his journey, challenges and vision for event entrepreneurship. From his early days as a film student to creating unique musical experiences for weddings and events, discover the story of a passionate and authentic entrepreneur.
Cédric created Spice Events very early on in his career in order to have an official structure for invoicing his first clients. At the time, he was still a film student, specialising in sound, and already had solid experience in hosting parties. He quickly wanted to professionalise his services and offer a high-quality service, particularly suited to weddings and events. This is how Spice Events was born, with the aim of offering a unique experience combining technical expertise, atmosphere and emotion.
From the outset, Cédric wanted to be his own boss in order to build his own professional environment, define his methods and develop his business according to his vision. The idea of entrepreneurship was obvious to him: he wanted to be in control of his choices, his organisation and the development of his business.
"I have always wanted to be my own boss, build my own business and decide for myself how to develop it."
The early days were not easy. The first challenge was finding a balance between investing in equipment and communication, and personal remuneration. For a long time, he preferred to invest in the quality of his services and in the development of the company, which required patience and discipline. The loneliness of being an entrepreneur was also a challenge: he was responsible for every decision, even the smallest ones, and their consequences could be felt in the long term. Feedback and advice from other professionals, as well as decisive encounters, such as that with Maxime Gaudefroy, his partner at MX ÉVÉNEMENT, enabled Cédric to overcome these difficulties and steer his company towards more structured and ambitious development.
The choice of the name ‘Spice’ reflects this ambition: to offer unique experiences, energise and spice up events, and maintain a certain versatility. Originally, Cédric envisaged various activities, ranging from music production to events of all kinds, with variations such as Spice Records, Spice Weddings and Spice the Night. Spice Events has ultimately become the benchmark for weddings and events, symbolising quality, reliability and creativity.
"All decisions are my responsibility, and their consequences are felt in the long term.
But every obstacle is a lesson in how to better structure my business."

Over the years, his vision of entrepreneurship has evolved. He has learned to delegate certain responsibilities, surround himself with a competent team, and structure his business while retaining the freedom to create and innovate. At MX Événement, he and his partners have defined specific roles: Tristan oversees administration and accounting, Maxime is responsible for logistics and production, Marc handles technical support and equipment maintenance, and Cédric manages communications and sales. Decisions are made collaboratively, but each partner has final responsibility for their area, ensuring efficiency and consistency in the management of the company.
Cédric has chosen to refocus Spice Events on personalised, human-centred support. Today, he manages the business with a work-study student and devotes his time to weddings and events that he selects with care, in order to guarantee 100% follow-up. His approach is based on listening, adaptability and reliability: he anticipates needs, advises on musical choices, coordinates with service providers and stages events to ensure that each wedding and event runs smoothly and is memorable. For him, the success of a wedding or event lies in understanding everyone's wishes and turning their vision into reality. This philosophy guides all decisions at Spice Events, from the choice of equipment to entertainment, lighting and the overall organisation of the day or evening."Success isn't just about having the right equipment or good technique, it's about knowing how to listen, anticipate and support every wedding or event from start to finish."
In the years to come, Cédric wants Spice Events to continue offering a high-end, reliable and personalised service, where every detail is anticipated and every service is tailored to the customer. He also plans to delegate more of the communication and sales side of the business so that he can focus on the service itself and the customer experience, while maintaining the high standards of quality and satisfaction that characterise the company.
Looking back, Cédric acknowledges certain mistakes he made in the past: he would have limited periods of overload and invested more wisely in equipment and logistics. He emphasises the importance of knowing how to say no, of remaining rigorous, curious and willing to learn constantly. In his view, these qualities—perseverance, a thirst for learning and a sense of commitment—are essential for success in the events industry, a demanding sector where every detail counts and where experience and adaptability make all the difference.
For Cédric, Spice Events is not just a business: it is the embodiment of his expertise, his passion for entertainment and his commitment to creating memorable experiences for every wedding or event. Each project is an opportunity to create a memorable, seamless and perfectly orchestrated experience for our clients.
